West Ham chief Brady reveals Chelsea directors were dreading Mourinho victory

Chelsea chiefs were rattled going into this week's Champions League clash with Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan.

In the end, Samuel Eto'o struck the winner for Inter to give them a 3-1 aggregate win.

In her diary for The Sun, West Ham United chief Karren Brady revealed: "Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck emails me before their home match with Inter: 'As far as tonight is concerned, only on the day I got married have I been as nervous as this.' Only Jose Mourinho can reach places others can't.

"For all the money, prestige and progress at stake, it's pride that really matters. Bruce's must be in tatters as Mourinho's team beat Carlo Ancelotti's. It's a special night for the Special One who strolls round the Bridge as if he were still the gaffer. Hugs, kisses and handshakes for all."
